Borders Golf Group has acquired the operations of Cancun Country Club located in Quintana Roo, Mexico; one of the world’s top resort destinations. Located centrally to all the major zones of Cancun and the Riviera Maya, this facility will be branded as TPC Cancun, the PGA TOUR’s first Tournament Players Club outside of the United States.

This spectacular facility will feature 36 holes of golf designed by world famous course designers Nick Price and Tom Fazio. The opening date for the Nick Price course is scheduled for January 2012, while construction of the Fazio course should begin in 2012 and be open early in 2014. Both courses will be enjoyable to all levels of players, with multiple sets of tees strategically located to avoid the many natural hazards, or provide the high risk-high reward opportunity to low handicap players. The Price course features Platinum Paspalum wall to wall, with undulating but fair greens.
