07/05/2012TPC CANCUN at Cancun Country Club A Development in Harmony with its Environment

Cancun Country Club is a real estate development created with a vision towards protecting and preserving local vegetation. 70% of the land will remain green, while only 30% will be utilized for the clubhouse, administration, golf-related facilities, and private homes.

Ecologically Sensitive Practices:

• Developers of the only TPC facility outside the United States have transplanted thousands of adult trees within the property with a 96% survival rate. (See above)
• Utilize Tropical Xeriscaping to minimize fresh water consumption.
• 130,000 registered plants rescued and replanted.
• Propagation of native plants, whereby offspring are cut and replanted to minimize introduction of foreign plant species.
• An 80% permeable surface naturally replenishes the aquifer.
• Most trees and vegetation removed for development are recycled into aesthetic materials for landscaping or wood signage.
• Integration and protection of the original vegetation allows native wildlife to preserve their natural environment, allowing TPC Cancun guests to view deer, crocodile, tapir, coatis, and wild boar—among many other species.
