June in Cancun, a month full of conventions
From June 4th to 7th, Cancun will be host to the Cancun Familiarization Program, an event that will gather 22 US meeting planners during 4 working days surrounded by the professional environment that has turned Cancun into the destination of choice for these types of events. The Cancun Familiarization Program involves the participation of the OMNI Cancun Hotel & Villas, Le Blanc Spa Resort, Le Meridien Cancun Resort & Spa, Moon Palace Golf & Spa Resort, The Ritz-Carlton Cancun, Westin Resort & Spa Cancun, Gran Melia Cancun, Hilton Cancun Golf & Spa Resort, and Global Incentive Management DMC. At the end of this same month, from June 22nd to the 25th, Cancun will be part of the Caravan of Groups and Conventions, which will take off towards the cities of Sacramento and Los Angeles, California.

Cancun, the first foreign headquarters for MeetDifferent
The Cancun Convention & Visitors Bureau along with the Mexico Tourism Board, announced that Cancun has been selected for the celebration of the 2010 MeetDifferent conference, making Cancun its first reunion outside of the U.S. and Canada since its founding in 1972. More than 2,000 people, 900 organizers, and a large network of providers and facilitators from Meeting Professionals International (MPI) will gather at this event, bringing to Cancun and Puerto Morelos, the experience and the latest developments in the meetings and conventions industry, a segment that will gain strength with the celebration of MeetDifferent 2010.

With more than 754,000 sq. ft. of adequate space, all the infrastructure resources, services and technologies for the realization of conventions and expositions, the best airport in Mexico receiving international passengers and the best connection with United States and Canada, Cancun has become the destination of preference for corporations, associations and all of those in this industry that find the amplitude of its landscapes the perfect setting for their events. Last year Cancun received more than 600,000 tourists in relation to the celebration of conferences, garnering $750 million dollars in revenue and occupying a hotel platform where 80% of the hotels were five star and Gran Turismo.
